Our core engineering principle is simple: your behavioral data belongs to you, lives on your physical device, and never gets sold or surveilled.
1. The Offline-First Principle
HabitApex is architected as an offline-first application powered by a local, embedded SQLite database on your device. Every habit you create, streak you track, XP point you earn, and note you write is processed locally without communicating with an external cloud server for core functions.
- Sub-16ms local latency for all habit completions and telemetry.
- Full functionality during airplane mode or offline periods.
- Zero transmission of habit names, descriptions, or schedules to third-party ad networks.
2. Zero Third-Party Advertising & Tracking
HabitApex does not contain advertising SDKs, data broker trackers, or commercial surveillance software. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal information or behavioral history to any third-party marketing entities.
3. Auri AI & Processing
Auri AI provides conversational habit coaching and routine assistance powered by modern AI models (including Google Gemini API).
- When you interact with Auri via chat or voice, only the contextual snippet necessary to fulfill your request is sent to the AI processing endpoint.
- Your data is never used to train generalized third-party public foundation models.
- You can clear your Auri conversation memory at any time in the app settings.
4. Cloud Backup & Sync (Optional)
If you choose to enable Pro Cloud Backup, your database backup is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. You retain complete control over your remote backups and can purge them at any time with a single tap.
5. Data Deletion Rights
You have the absolute right to delete all data associated with HabitApex. Because your database is stored locally on your device, clearing app storage or uninstalling the app permanently removes all local habit logs.
